This is a reproduction of an original painting (approx. 1920s) by Marshall D. Smith, who was a Chicago artist and a great uncle through marriage. The original piece hung in my Grandmother's house when I was a child, inspiring me to travel to Morocco, and ultimately to paint a copy for myself.
